For one of my classes I have to read The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy. Let's just say that Hardy's book is meant to reflect the pointlessness of life, therefore, there is a sense of pointlessness in reading it. I've been searching for audio books to spare me some pain, but most have been completely awful and the narrators' voices seem to drone on and on as if they want me to fall asleep.
But this morning I found an audio book version read by Alan Rickman... Just listening to the free first few minutes makes my heart weak. Only he could make it entertaining. The other day I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone for the first time, and at each section that included Severus Snape speaking I heard Alan's voice in my head. Truly a great actor, great man, and human being. I hope I can find the rest of the audio book for free, but I'm honestly not opposed to paying for such a great voice.
