Or not, no pressure.  Seriously. No pressure.

Knights

It started with my summer '15 class: English 241:  British literature (Beginnings to 1660),  where we read ranging from the Gawain poet to Chaucer to Shakespeare to Milton. It was then when I fell in love with the ideas of chivalry and the the genre of  Arthurian  romance.

Knight themed media splurge 2015/2016

Last year, I Netflix binged  anything relating to Knights. One movie was called  Arn: The Knight Templar,  a pretty serious Swedish historical drama,  another was   Knights of Badassdom,  which was a comedy. I loved both, and both had familiar faces as well.   Martin   Wallström from the show  Mr. Robot,  was in  Arn,  while Peter Dinklage as well as  Ryan Kwanten and Steve Zahn were in the other.  Dinklage is known for his role as Tyrion in  Game of Thrones, Kwanten for playing Jason in  True Blood, and Zahn for  A Perfect Getaway  among many other films.

I binged an Anime, called Fate/Zero,  as well. I'd seen the sequel Fate/stay Night before, and loved it more than the prequel, but they're both good. The heroic spirit of King Arthur, the legendary Knight of the Round Table, was in both shows, but with a twist. The show paints Arthur as a woman, Arturia, King of Knights! I loved this portrayal of the legendary figure.

I loved  A Knight's Tale,  a 2001 film starring Heath Ledger as William Thatcher, based on Chaucer's  The Canterbury Tales,  as well.  Heath was so beautiful and talented, and surely missed by many...

Game of Thrones  is also  a big influence as well, obviously.  It's one of my all time favorite shows. Season 6 was AMAZING!  I can't believe I have to wait a few more months for the 7th season. It gets better and better every year. Sigh...

I'm very much into anything  medieval . My ideal home would be a large, secluded castle away from the horrors of mankind.  I love that my Nonna's house is right next to a castle in Rivalta di Torino. There are even reenactments done here, with lords and ladies and knights! I got to experience one at the end of May 2016, and I loved it! I just want to wear armor all the time and become a blacksmith. I want to make amazing swords. I want a lot of things, can you tell?
